🧱 Filter Media Setup (Recommended Order)

  1. Coarse sponge (mechanical)

  2. Fine sponge (basic biological)

  3. Ceramic rings / bio-balls (boost biological filtration)

  4. Activated carbon (optional – for odor & toxin removal)

  5. Fine filter wool (optional – polishing water for crystal clarity)

🔧 How to Install

  1. Place the RS-288A filter box on top of the aquarium.

  2. Attach the pump inside the tank and connect it to the filter box.

  3. Fill the filter box with desired media (sponge, rings, carbon, etc.).

  4. Plug in the pump – water will rise into the filter, pass through media, and return clean into the tank.

  5. Adjust media layout according to your fish needs.

🧼 Maintenance

  • Rinse sponge every 2–3 weeks in tank water (not tap water).

  • Clean filter box to remove debris buildup.

  • Replace/refresh activated carbon every 3–4 weeks if used.

  • Never replace all bio-media at once to preserve beneficial bacteria.
