🧱 Filter Media Setup (Recommended Order)

  1. Coarse sponge (mechanical)

  2. Fine sponge / filter wool (polishing water)

  3. Activated carbon (chemical – odor & toxin removal)

  4. Ceramic rings / bio-balls (biological filtration)

👉 For shrimp tanks, add a sponge pre-filter on the intake to prevent baby shrimp from being sucked in.

🔧 How to Install

  1. Hang the filter at the back/side of the aquarium.

  2. Place the intake tube into the water.

  3. Fill the filter chamber with some aquarium water (for easy priming).

  4. Plug in and turn ON – water will start circulating.

  5. Adjust flow as needed.

🧼 Maintenance

  • Rinse sponge every 2 weeks using tank water (never tap water).

  • Replace carbon cartridge every 3–4 weeks.

  • Clean spray bar and intake pipe regularly to avoid blockages.

  • Avoid cleaning/replacing all filter media at once to preserve beneficial bacteria.
