🧱 Filter Media Setup (Recommended Order)

  1. Coarse sponge (mechanical filtration)

  2. Fine sponge / filter floss (biological starter surface)

  3. Activated carbon (optional – for odor & discoloration removal)

  4. Ceramic rings / bio-balls (boost biological filtration)

  5. Fine filter wool (optional – for polishing water)

👉 For shrimp tanks, use a sponge pre-filter on the intake.

🔧 How to Install

  1. Hang the filter on the side/back of the tank.

  2. Insert inlet pipe with surface skimmer inside the water.

  3. Fill the filter chamber with some tank water to help priming.

  4. Plug in and switch ON – water will start flowing.

  5. Switch on UV lamp as needed (do not run UV 24/7).

  6. Adjust the flow rate to suit your fish.

🧼 Maintenance

  • Rinse sponge every 2–3 weeks in tank water (not tap water).

  • Clean bio-media gently; never replace all at once.

  • Check UV lamp function periodically; replace UV bulb every 6–8 months for best effect.

  • Clean surface skimmer regularly to prevent clogs.
