🧱 Filter Media Setup (Inside Sponge)

  1. Outer Sponge – Traps dirt, debris, and floating particles (mechanical).

  2. Sponge Pores – Provides habitat for beneficial bacteria (biological).

🔧 How to Install

  1. Attach airline tubing from an air pump to the sponge filter’s inlet.

  2. Place the filter inside the aquarium, fully submerged.

  3. Switch ON the air pump – bubbles will rise, creating water flow through the sponges.

  4. Position near the corner or side of the tank for best circulation.

🧼 Maintenance

  • Rinse sponge every 2–3 weeks in aquarium water (not tap water).

  • Replace sponge only when it loses elasticity or breaks apart.

  • Clean the uplift tube if clogged with debris.

  • Keep air pump above water level or use a check valve to prevent backflow.
